• C.V. No. 2011-4418 Nizam Mohammed vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. Appeared for the Attorney General in the challenge by the Applicant to his removal as Chairman of the Police Service Commission on the basis that the actions of His Excellency the President were in breach of the right to a fair hearing. Junior Counsel to Mr. Avory Sinanan S.C on behalf of the Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. 

 

• C.V 2011-03992- Evolving Tecknologies and Enterprise Development Company Limited (E-Teck) vs Ken Julien and others First Claim brought by special purpose state enterprise seeking to recover TTD $30 million in damages from former directors for breach of fiduciary duties imposed under section 99 of the Company’s Act as a result of failed investment in foreign company. Instructing attorney to senior advocates Mr. Vincent Nelson Q.C and Mr. Israel Khan S.C.

 

• Privy Council Appeal No: 0068 of 2010 The Attorney General vs Keron Matthews (2011) UKPC 38. Challenge by the State to the interpretation by the Court of Appeal of the Civil Proceedings Rules to read rules with implied sanctions for the breach of timelines, court orders or practice directions. Junior Counsel for the Respondent in the Privy Council, United Kingdom.

 

• Civil Appeal 146 of 2009 Uric Merrick vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago Court of Appeal clarifying the law with respect to the assessment of damages in constitutional law and in private law for the loss suffered for deprivation of liberty. Instructing attorney for the Appellant (currently awaiting a date of hearing from the Privy Council)

 

• CV 2012 - 03906 Borris Stoute vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. Instructing attorney for the Claimant in - first assault and battery matter to be mediated in Trinidad and Tobago.

 

• CV 2010 - 03643 Owen Goring vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago Highest awarded for exemplary damages against State in an assault and battery matter. Acted for the Claimant.

 

• CV 2010 - 04508 Garbiel Jospeh vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago; CV 2010 - 4093 Antonio Sobers vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago and CV 2010 - 04649 Clint Wilson vs The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. Instructing attorney for 57 Claimants in matters commonly referred to as “the Riot matters”.

 

• C.V 2014-00134 Anand Ramlogan vs Jack Austin WarnerActed for the Claimant, who was at the material time, the current sitting Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago seeking damages for defamation. One of the highest award for exemplary damages for defamation in Trinidad and Tobago. Led by Mr. Avory Sinanan S.C

 

• C.V 2015-02088 Marvin Scott and others vs The Attorney GeneralFirst case in Trinidad and Tobago where the High Court and Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the Claimants in allowing their Attorneys to take cameras into the prisons for the purpose of photographing the injuries on the Claimants.

 

• C.V 2015-03019 Tevin Kyle vs His Worship Mark Wellington and The Attorney GeneralChallenge to the Constitutionality of the Magistrate’s Order placing a minor in the Youth Training Center (YTC) illegally in contravention of the Children’s Act of 2012. Claimant released forthwith by the High Court.
